American Patriot Party State Party Guidelines
Welcome State Organizers!
We are pleased that you are looking to the establishment of the American Patriot Party in your state.
Below are a few suggestions in developing a Party presence.
EDUCATION:
1.) All party Chairmen should read as much as they can, the letters of the founding fathers prior to 1776 and study the Declaration of Independence and each of its 40 Grievances. I have placed some study views and the Document at http://www.pacificwestcom.com/independence.
2.) Establish a solid image (based on #1.);
3.) Establish a presence. For now the Internet will be our greatest tool, (the modern day printing press).
ESTABLISHING A PRESENCE:
Though there is a national web site, states may want to start their own. Web sites take a lot of work and persistence; and unless the state is prepared and able to maintain a ongoing day to day presence, it would be best simply to have a single page with contact information (phone and email) and post any new state issues. Then provide a link to the national site: http://www.americanpatriotparty.cc for general information about the party.
We will not be hosting a national site that will be an in-between email service as had been done on the former national site. This, as if something occurs with the national site all contact between states will not be lost.
This will allow us to maintain more personal and permanent contact between state chairs by direct email.
WEB SITE SUGGESTIONS:
Remember, web site creation and maintenance takes commitment in money, time and resources. The Internet is strewn with poorly designed web sites that are littered with broken links, missing graphics and links from former web sites whose owners forgot to pay their domain name bill that are now owned by someone else with different goals in mind. Once a web site is begun, it is a life time commitment and should be treated as such from day one. If you are ready to undertake the task, here are some suggestions:
a.) buy a domain name with your state name followed by patriot party, such as www.utahpatriotparty.org (this is an example there is no such existing page as of yet for Utah) and do not abbreviate. Google Search Engine reads even the address to establish your standing in the search results, so full names and words are important.
b.) If you can, purchase it for 99 years from a reputable Domain service such as http://www.networksolutions.com (these are the original dot com people) at $9.99 per year it is a good investment against loosing your domain name to unscrupulous individuals that will trash the party name by guiding all the old links referring to your page to theirs. (total cost 1,000.oo)
Companies that offer deals on domain names will often attach hidden scripts in their housing of your domain that track and require cookies from your visitors, slowing access or stopping access to your page.
The purchase of a long term domain name not only saves you money, it maintains your ownership of at least the name even when finances keep you from continuing your domain hosting; This will allow you to start back up when you do. You can even redirect your domain name to a free server in an emergency for about 15.oo a year, but remember that free servers usually require advertisement that you do not control and will give your site a non professional look. If you do redirect a link, you may want to "MASK" your name, this is a free service from Network Solutions, that will show only your domain name in the address window to allow people to correctly bookmark your web site when you are able to have your own domain hosting services continued.
c.) Establish a unified party image in graphic design and layout on each web site. d.) Have your own domain (total cost 10.oo to 25.oo per month), do not house your site on a free server if at all possible. No outside advertisement on the party web sites. (i.e.. banner ads etc.); Use and display only graphics that you yourself have possession of, do not link outside graphics to show up on your web site - this is a sure disaster when the person you have linked to removes his graphic or changes the name of the graphic to create a broken and unsightly link on your web site. There are many free graphics of founders and patriots on government sites which are part of the public domain.
e.) No discussion boards. Use the web site to establish a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page.
f.) No cookies or other html viewer requirements for access.
g.) No animations or movies. Keep the site static, simple and straight to the point. No advertisements.
h.) Do not use the site to harass or badger other parties. Stick to the facts of this party (simple factual comparisons that compare party platform differences are ok in a conversational tone).
i.) Do not make pro or con special interest or blind nationalistic statements (environment, population, union, workers, corporation or free trade, boarder problems, trade problems, popular opinion or nationalistic grandeur) again, stick to the facts:
The Reason is that these discussions are too deep and most special interest groups are simply trying to drum up unrest and not trying to solve anything;
Worse yet, is that the American people are confused by all the marketing campaigns from these groups:
Example: i.e.. Educate Others:
Border problems are caused by a corrupt Mexican government and our states not having laws that can control use of federal (and state) distribution of funds (health etc.); ... and restrictions on independent free enterprise inside the US.
Another fallacy regarding illegal immigration is population is the cause of bad job markets and taxation, it is not population, the entire population of the US stood front to back and side to side covers less than 6 miles by 6 miles - or 260 Million people times 3 square feet - This is a numerical fact - and barely a speck on a map. (and this amount dies off every 75 years from natural causes) The entire inside states is almost devoid of human life except on the highways crossing. So population is the least of our problems. Although it is always used as an excuse by governments to make laws to control people for their own gain and goals - and sold to others by filling the photo with a crowded street of people - ignoring the fact that 10 feet to the right there is few or no one
Border immigration also has deeper ramifications based on the guarantees of the Declaration of Independence which prohibits limiting or placing harsh restrictions on immigration:
7th Grievance (one of the definitions of tyranny): "He has endeavored to prevent the population of these states; for that purpose obstructing the laws for naturalization of foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migration hither, and raising the conditions of new appropriations of lands."
Solving the problem of the Mexican Government, who are stepping on their people, in a way so that the Mexican citizens will want to stay home, would be one major step.
This would mean inalienable rights to their citizens, something we ourselves are starting to lack; and a equal dollar to peso conversion rate; and strengthen free trade inside the US by throwing out regulations that hinder independent (non union, non corporate) business.
Though control of the borders is important, swatting people away from the border of Mexico is like having a rescue ship at sea (the United States) push away survivors of a sinking ship, instead of sending a repair boat over to the sinking vessel and repair the small leak (corrupt Mexican political policies). If the captain of the sinking vessel refuses to accept help (because of the profits he is making in the process) and continues to throw people overboard to swim to the overcrowded rescue ship (for profit and returns), then it is the captain of the sinking ship needs to be dealt with....
End of example.
... And the above is why it is not good to make a single wide sweeping statement on a web site without a thorough explanation right below based on facts.
4.) Always educate. Most Americans are not educated in the documents and follow blind patriotism or blind nationalism. Always educate the difference between blind patriotism (nationalism, federalism, flags, symbols, borders) and that of True American Patriotism based on defined Certain Inalienable Rights, the Declaration of Independence and defined in the letters of the Originating Founding Fathers of 1776.
5.) Visibility and establishment of a strong foundation which we have already in the founding documents will attract more people than you can drum up going door to door. Have the web site complete so it will take less work continuing to explain to others that may be interested in the party. Once you have a web site, prepare to maintain it for life.
6.) When you can, print flyers, or better yet, small note pads and pens with the American Patriot Party printed on them. Maybe present quotes of the founders on the note pads;
Do not place contact information on any printed material that may change.
7.) Read your states party and election requirements, this will take a long time to understand thoroughly and to get signatures to establish a party in your state will be a major undertaking that you and your party will need to be very prepared for, because if your state is like ours, if you don't get enough signatures the first time around your party will have to start again at square one getting the signatures all over again.
This is why the image that is presented for the first few years is very important. It is a business and has to look and act like one in a very professional way.
And like a business, don't look for grand numbers of members the first few years. People have to get to know and respect you first.
8.) Take steps to establish your party, but take them slowly. This is a lifetime goal. We need life time members that will always be here. Always being there speaks more than anything.
